Moontower wraps tonight through Sunday, Eeyore's takes Pease Park on Saturday, the Austin Reggae Festival runs all weekend at Auditorium Shores, and the weather is finally behaving. This is the best weekend of April and one of the last before summer really cranks — so below is the tactical Friday-morning pick list, plus a first look at next week.

  The city's best comedy festival wraps across the Paramount, Stateside, and clubs up and down Red River. Rush tickets drop two hours before each show — the way locals actually get in. Check the Paramount site at 5pm if you don't have a badge.

  The most quintessentially Austin event of the year — drum circles, costumes, face paint, flower crowns, and 5,000 costumed locals raising money for Austin nonprofits. Walk in from Tarrytown or West Campus; the lot fills by 10:30.

  Austin Reggae Festival — all three days
  Auditorium Shores
  Three days of reggae, dub, and ska with the downtown skyline behind the stage. Proceeds benefit the Central Texas Food Bank. Saturday's dub-heavy lineup is the one we'd plant ourselves at; Sunday closes with a two-hour Marley-tribute set at sundown.

For Eeyore's Saturday — park at West Campus or Tarrytown and walk in from Shoal Creek. The Pease Park lot fills by 10:30am every year, and leaving after dark takes 45 minutes if you drove. Walking takes 12.
