Psych Fest takes the Far Out, Pecan Street takes 6th, and we promised you a brunch list.

It's a quieter weekend than last, on paper. Cinco came and went, the country festival emptied the Moody, and the city is back to a more normal rhythm. The headline this week is Austin Psych Fest at the Far Out (Flaming Lips Friday, Black Angels Saturday), with Pecan Street Fair stretching across 6th on Saturday and Mother's Day landing Sunday. We promised you a brunch list last Friday, and it's below, with notes on which rooms still have tables.

If brunch isn't your move and you'd rather plan a slow morning at home, our patios guide is the one to send Mom. The Mozart's lakeside table and the Josephine House courtyard are the two we'd actually book a week ahead.

ATX Weekly tip

Psych Fest parking is a trap. The Far Out lot fills by 5 on Friday and stays full all weekend. Take a cab to Manchaca and Stassney, walk south on Manchaca, and you're at the gate in seven minutes. The same play works on the way home, and the cab line at the venue is a 20-minute wait by midnight.

That's the week. Get to Psych Fest early Friday for the Lips, take Mom somewhere with shade Sunday, and we'll see you back here next Friday with the Memorial Day preview. — The ATX Weekly Editors
