Phoebe Bridgers, Gorillaz, and Weezer turn Moody Center into the fall's loudest week.
ACL Weekend Two closes at Zilker tonight with Parcels, and by Monday the park goes back to dogs and joggers. The city does not get a rest, though, because Moody Center has Bryson Tiller on Tuesday, Gorillaz on Thursday, Phoebe Bridgers on Friday, and Weezer next Sunday. We built the week around those, then added the smaller rooms, the haunted-house season that is now fully underway, and a few free things for anyone who spent their budget on a wristband. A note on prices: several venues do not post them in the listings we checked, so we point you to the box office instead of guessing.

Fri Oct 16 · Check moodycenteratx.comPhoebe Bridgers, The Lost TourMoody Center, 2001 Robert Dedman DrHer Austin shows tend to be quiet, close-feeling affairs even in a big room. Friday night in a sold-out arena of people singing every word is the reason to go, so bring someone who knows the songs.

Sun Oct 18 · Check moodycenteratx.comWeezer, The Gathering TourMoody Center, 2001 Robert Dedman DrThe Sunday-night closer for the week. Weezer plays well to a crowd that already knows the hits, and a Sunday show means you can still make Monday if you leave before the encore traffic builds.

ATX Weekly tip
Moody Center has four shows this week, and the garages around Robert Dedman Dr price up on show nights. Park near the 40 Acres or on the east side of campus, walk in, and leave through the north exit afterward. You will save twenty minutes and probably twenty dollars.
A tired park, a loud arena, and a week of haunted houses to follow. Pace yourself, drink some water, and we will see you at the show. — The ATX Weekly Editors
