F1 week takes over Austin, and most of it is free.

F1 week takes over Austin, and most of it is free.

Race week starts tomorrow. The United States Grand Prix runs Thursday through Sunday at COTA, but most of what is worth doing happens in town, and a lot of it costs nothing. Williams opens its fan zone on Congress Monday, Lando Norris's pop-up opens Wednesday, Mercedes and Red Bull set up Thursday, and Friday is the biggest night out of the year so far. We built the week day by day below. If you subscribed for our F1 guide, this is the short version with everything announced since. Times come from each host's own listing, so tap through before you go.

ATX Weekly tip

Rideshare prices spike when the COTA concerts let out and after Saturday's Texas game. If you are bar hopping on the east side, Kingdom on E 7th and Inn Cahoots on E 6th are a fifteen-minute walk apart, so walk it and save the surge for the ride home.

Fan zones by day, parties by night, and a race at the end of it. Pace yourself and hydrate. — The ATX Weekly Editors
