Live music in Austin this week.

Austin has the density of live music venues any city its size would kill for, and if you know where to be on a given night, it's still cheap and often free. This page is our weekly rundown of shows we'd actually show up to — festival headliners, residencies, small-room legends, and the occasional out-of-town touring act passing through Moody or ACL Live.

We don't list every show in town. If it's not on this page, it's because we're not going. The curation is by people who go to three or four shows a week across the Red River Cultural District, the East Side, South Austin, and the bigger downtown rooms. When in doubt we trust the Continental Club, Mohawk, Stubb's, and Antone's — those four don't miss.
